Alderney South Bank survey

SeaStar Survey completed phase 1 of the Alderney South Bank survey in March 2011. This part of the survey was to record the physical dimensions of the Bank using GeoSwath and Side Scan high definition sonar equipment.
The initial processing indicates good results and has shown that the Bank is formed from large sand waves some measuring 25m from crest to trough.
SeaStar will be mobilising again in April 2011, weather permitting, to start the next phase of the survey which will include seabed sample grabbing and camera survey.
