Commissioners attend All-Energy 2011 Event
Commission Interim Chairman Pamela Dixon attended All-Energy 2011 in May. The annual conference, now in its 11th year, was held at the AECC in Aberdeen. With over 500 exhibitors, and presentations on all aspects of clean and renewable energy it demonstrated the strength of the Renewables industry.
Alderney Commissioner, Professor John Sharp, was also in attendance dually representing Cranfield University and the Alderney Commission. He attended a workshop on Tidal Installation, a key issue for the Commission. He also chaired a session on wave and tidal energy.
The two day programme consisted of four specialist sessions on Wave and Tidal among many others. Attending All-Energy is vital in keeping abreast of developments in the Renewables sector. It is an extremely well attended event that gives great opportunity to meet and speak with a wide range of delegates such as developers, UK regulatory bodies and government representatives and to maintain a high profile for Alderney.
